- The Non Resident Keralites (NRK) and the Interstate Migrants concentration in the influential zone are fairly high. The influential zone holds 13 per cent of total NRKs and 30 per cent of total Keralites staying outside Kerala. Out of the total population staying outside Kerala (NRKs + Keralites migrated to other states) about 20 per cent is from the influential zone.
- The airport project is expected to generate opportunities for 1500 direct and 6000 indirect employment. Along with the airport, there are malls planned which are expected to bring local and international brands to the door step of people living in the influential zone. This is expected to further generate opportunities of employment and economic activity, which overall will contribute to the well being of the influential zone
